About
We’re looking for an experienced and talented UX/UI Designer to join our team and help create intuitive and engaging digital experiences. You’ll be the sole UX/UI Designer and work closely with our engineering and business stakeholders to design user-centered solutions that balance business goals with user needs.
What You’ll Do
- Design both the app and one-off charity branded web pages in accordance with brand and accessibility guidelines
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that clearly communicate your design ideas
- Design interfaces that align with our brand guidelines and design system
- Collaborate with business and engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle
- Present and defend design decisions to stakeholders, grounding them in best practices
- Contribute to, and help maintain, our design system and component library
What We’re Looking For
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design for digital products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction and visual design
- Experience using data to inform design solutions
- Proficiency in Figma
- Proven experience adhering to or exceeding accessibility guidelines
- Prototyping experience in either Figma or HTML/CSS/JS
- Worked with, and contributed, to an existing design system
- Experience working directly with front and back-end engineers
- Ability to create responsive designs that work across devices and platforms
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical team members
- Understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and technical constraints
- Experience working with, and understanding of constraints when working with user-generated content
- Proactive approach to learning
- Experience collaborating with external stakeholders

Compensation
- Starting salary (typical range): $80,000–$120,000 base (US; varies by location and experience)

In your first 3 months
In month one you’ll aim to understand the product, our users, and processes. You’ll meet with key stakeholders across business, engineering, and marketing, and familiarize yourself with our design system and brand guidelines.
By month two, you’ll take ownership of smaller design projects while continuing to learn our workflows. You’ll collaborate with developers to see your designs through to implementation. You’ll give feedback to engineers on the realized product.
By the end of month three, you’ll have shipped your first features, established your design process within the team, and be a trusted voice in design discussions. You’ll be identifying opportunities for design improvements.
